Do-It-Yourself application

It can be applied to any garment with a heat press or iron in 10 seconds. We are able to Process, Print and Post your order in 2-4 days depending on what is required.

To eliminate the need to print and apply multiple logos at once, Digitex-Rubber transfers can be ordered in bulk.   Ordering larger quantities and applying them as needed to eliminate buying small quantities at a higher rate.

For our Mono coloured stock numbers we use Digitex-Rubber Colour-Cut. It has the same properties as our Digitex-Rubber but is coloured already with 8 colours to choose from. We also have Metallic Silver, Gold and Reflective. We have found our products to be thinner and more durable than Videoflex or other CAD cut textile vinyls.

For a free sample please contact us and we will send out a couple transfers and instructions to try.

Application Techniques

These instructions are meant to provide you with easy to follow instructions but as temperatures of irons and heat presses vary no responsibility is taken for any apparel damaged while applying our transfers.

If this is your first time we will provide you with some samples to practice with first.

Heat Pressing

As each fabric is unique, the best results occur when you can see the print has the texture of the fabric. The following instructions are a reference guide only, as fabric and substrates vary and you should test for the best temperature and pressure before production.

Using a commercial heat press

Keep transfers out of the heat before pressing.
It is advisable to use a Teflon sheet on top of the print while pressing, if you don’t have one use a piece of white cotton fabric.
Heat press for 160 C for 10-13 seconds
Peel of the clear transfer slowly watching to check that it has adhered to the material.
Do not try and peel off while very hot. Allow to cool first.
Thicker fabric may require longer pressing times i.e.:- 12-18 sec
Thinner fabrics such as lycra and silk try pressing for 5-8 seconds, release for \ cooling for 5 sec.
Peel of the clear transfer then heat press for a further 5 sec if required.
For a more matt finish press again after removing the clear transfer for a few seconds

Iron-On instructions

Note! Read about commercial application techniques as well.

Set iron to cotton setting and allow to heat up.
Use a dry iron, NO STEAM.
Remove backing and place transfer on the garment in the position you require. Cover the transfer with a cotton cloth (tea towel) or greaseproof paper.
Iron over the complete transfer with firm pressure for approximately 15 seconds. Wait a few seconds for the transfer to cool.
Slowly peel the corner away watch the logo has adhered to the garment.
If it hasn't adhered stop peeling the transfer back and iron again taking care not to burn it.
You should give the logo another iron over with the cloth on top if you cannot see the texture of the garment through the logo.

Care Instructions

No Dry Cleaning
Do not dry clean printed garments, we use a solvent based ink and the dry cleaners use a solvent based cleaner which will remove or smudge the print and will weaken the adhesion of the rubber to the garment.
Cold wash only, do not wash in hot water
Gentle warm iron only on the inside; be careful not to use too much heat, as this will damage the print.

Generally speaking a Digitex Rubber Transfers on a normal cotton t-shirt only washed in cold water and never ironed should last longer than the garment in most cases.
